1Corinthians 8:1-12
Apr 12, 2010
As I mentioned in my last post, I will be publishing structures with minimal commentary. The outline usually speaks for itself anyway. However, in this post, I couldn’t resist throwing in two notes pointing out the association of sacrificial elements such as substitution and identification. This Pauline counter balance should not be surprising given this idolatrous sacrificial context. I plan to follow up with other pericopes from 1Corinthians, initially those in chapters 8-10.
